A New Piece

I try not to toot my own horn to often, but I needed to share this new necklace with you.  I was told this morning not to come into work, due to cutting hours...rain sucks!  So I decided to clean/straighten up my beading table.  It needed it badly!  As I was cleaning, putting away magazines and beads, I happened apon a picture that inspired me.  So inspired was I that not only did I clean up quikly, but made sure I would have time to create before everyone came home.  Namely 2 little boys who are very distracting! ;)
I got down to business and created a pendant that I just love.  The frog represents spring and the colors are just fun.
Hope you all enjoy my new addition to my shop as much as I do.
Silver plated chain comes with the pendant.  I will happily make a pair of earrings using the yellow shell beads to go with your new necklace!  Just send me a note when you purchase the necklace.
Thank You

A Block :(

I have come to an unfortunate head wall as far a my book challenge goes.  I am in the middle of a book and can't seem to get any further, even though it is a good book.  I downloaded 2 books to my kindle hoping to give myself a kick in the butt.  So far not working, I do want to read them but won't let myself until I finish the one I am currently reading.
I am beginning to think that the block I have found myself at also has something to do with my creative block.  I went to the bead store today in the hopes that it would inspire me.  I also got a custom order the other day and I know that will help, it requires that I learn a new knot for hemp jewelry.  That will be fun! I will try to take pictures as I go, but sometimes I get so involved that I forget. :)

Knoxville Library

I have always enjoyed a trip to the library and have tried to instill that same love in my boys.  I think it has something to do with the smell and feel of the books, or maybe just my pure love of reading!  Well I thought I would pass on to all of you that are from the Knoxville, TN area a little tidbit that I saw on the library's web site.  Their annual book sale is this weekend, Knoxville Library, check out the site for hours.  It will be downtown at the Expo Center and is open to the public.  So come on by and and get some great books and help out a library get some more awesome books.
