Cyber Monday

Well, I wasn't quite sure how Cyber Monday would play out.  I mean all the big box store were having all kinds of sales!  Little old me didn't even think about it, to busy thinking about getting some late Christmas sales.  Well not next year!  I will be thinking about Cyber Monday well in advance!  With not promoting I had 6 sales on Monday.  Yes they were all to one person, but not another Zibbeter.  Makes me happy to know that she came into Zibbet, found my shop, and chose to buy some great, fun earrings at an awesome price.  Thank you Sandi!  I hope to see her again in the shop.  Now I know that there really are shoppers out there on Cyber Monday and I need to spend some time getting to them.  Now I just need a little better planning for the holidays and be prepared for an awesome 2011!

Valentine's Day...wait What??

Yes, I know you all are asking isn't it to early to start thinking about Valentine's Day!  Well...yes and no.  I thought that since my shop is a jewelry shop it might motivate me to list some new stuff if I started thinking about it now. :)  I have already looking into the 'colors' for the season and will try to go on a bead run after Christmas.  New stuff is always needed and will help inspire.
I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.  As for me I will be dreaming up some new designs.
Don't forget to treat yourself with a little bling from Lucy's Bead Studio, now until Dec 25th everything is 25% off.  What a great way to treat yourself to a little after Christmas gift.

Holiday pretzel treat

OK just so every ones knows...I am not a baker or for that matter even a cook.  My husband does most if not all the cooking at our house, I can use the crock pot and have gotten quite good at it.
When the Christmas season starts to get closer my boys want me to make them something special, they don't care their mom can't cook.  So I make them a simple fun pretzel treat, not sure were I saw it but sooo easy I make it every year.  For some reason only for Christmas, not sure why?.
So yummy I can't even tell you!

Bite size waffle shaped pretzels
Hershey kisses
M&M candies
  Step 1
    oven 170
line cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper
Unwrap kisses and place on top of pretzels...as many as you can fit on cookie sheet.
I used all the kisses in a bag to make as many as possible, all fit on the cookie sheet.
  Step 2
Bake for 4 to 6 minutes, until kisses soft
Remove and press M&Ms into the center of kisses
  Step 3
Put in frig and allow to cool

Wrapping it all up

Well I spend this icy day wrapping gifts.  Not the boys stuff..no Santa still deals with all that! :)  I wrapped all the goodies that I have been hoarding all year.  These are gifts for the adults members of my family.  All bought, except for father-in-law, from http://www.zibbet.com/  and from http://www.etsy.com/ and I got some great stuff!
It is going to be a happy HANDMADE Christmas at my house!  I have already started looking for next year!

Something New

I thought it was time to add something new and a little different (for me) to my shop. I found this awesome belt at a trift store and it was calling to me. I knew I could do something cool with it, but what? Then when I was in Hobby Lobby the other day I saw these snaps for working with leather. Light Bulb moment!!! I cut the belt up into 4 seven inch cuffs and went to work in the garage. I keep one for myself and the rest I listed http://www.zibbet.com/lucysbeadstudio in my shop.

Hope you all enjoy them as much as I did making them.
